And actually that's not entirely true. The Swamp can add a major east stands upper bowl seating area. The main problem is that such a construction would require substantial space and supports that would have to be place around the already existing Florida Gym. They've had a plan for Swamp expansion on this side for years, but unfortunately they keep voting against this kind of construction because of the significant ticket price increase that would be necessary to afford it.
that's what i had in mind when i said there was no room for expansion. they would have to tear down the florida gym, which will never happen due to the university's commitment to historic preservation.

i think i also lived in keys one summer, though it was called ARF at the time.

I've heard Neyland's capacity is officially around 102-103,000. They always have 107,000 or more for their big games (UF, UGA, Bama). I know everyone squeezes a few extra bodies in for standing room only, but where the hell do they put an extra 4,000 people?

Largest SEC Stadium
BDS will be 101,000ish when complete.

If LSU does expand who will buy all those tickets? Fans flee from bad losses!

WTF are YUUUUUUUUU talking about ?????????????

Les Miles has only had a handful of losses in his five years in Baton Rouge!!!!:

2005: Tennessee in OT
2006: Zero
2007: Arkansas in 3OT
2008: Alabama in OT, Georgia, and Ole Miss.

Les Miles has only had ""FOUR"" 'bad' losses (routs)in his 5 years at LSU. Four. Four in five years:

2005 SECCG Georgia 34 LSU 14 - in ATLANTA
2008 Florida 51 LSU 21 - in GAINESVILLE

2008 Georgia 52 LSU 38 - in Baton Rouge
2008 Ole Miss 31 LSU 13- in Baton Rouge

There were some people who left early in the Ole Miss game. It remains the """""""""ONLY""""""""""" game under Les Miles, in FIVE years, that LSU has lost in Baton Rouge where many fans left early.

So, again...WTF are YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU talking about ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

From my experience there, they just make you suck in your butt and put 3 people in 2 seats.

LSU has the most room for expansion. Georgia has a good bit too.

State might be enclosing their north endzone in the future. Just sayin.

Numnuts,

Neyland no longer fits 107k because of the all the added luxury boxes on the east side.

The Official capacity used to be about 105k.

It is now a about 101k but we usually have 102 or 103.

Even though the largest Neyland crowd is 109k. So they did fit an extra 4k for that one.

Here's a fan's take on what LSU's stadium would look like if the South endzone is enclosed. This would take us over 100,000.

Yeah that looks really nice. You can get an idea of what ours will look likenext year with the new expansion. Everything in the south endzone will mirror the north.
