and for those claiming that if Jones touched the ball out of bounds it would not have been a dead ball and illegal touching read this... it was not the reason for the non int but it was a right arguement on why it could have been.

TUSCALOOSA -- There is growing speculation on talk radio and Internet message boards that a key play in Saturday's game was ruled an incomplete pass instead of an interception because Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones touched the ball first on the sideline pass but was out of bounds.
That would have made it a moot point if LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson had a foot inbounds when he caught the ball on the big fourth-quarter play.
Though that interpretation of Article 3a of rule 4-2 on page FR 81 of the official NCAA rulebook is correct, a Southeastern Conference spokesperson said today, this rule was not the reason why the call on the field stood.

For the 4,358th time, 4-2-3a has nothing to do with illegal touching.
