what OL issues. we have a lot of depth and talent on the OL

The Gators have no issues at o-line. He provided depth and some toughness. This injury will not affect the outcome of the game on Saturday.

dang, this sucks so bad. this will most definitely factor into the outcome of this game. patchan is a beast and will be sorely missed. yes he's naturally an o-lineman, and he does play on the d-line if necessary (he's that good), and he was also supposed to factor into the te position this year as well.

and the o-line concerns highlighted above were probably b/c we lost our two starting tackles on the o-line from last year, so that was a possible concern coming into this year. i think we'll be fine and hope he can redshirt and recover, but losing a motor like patchan definitely hurts

The article linked by the OP:

Patchan tears ACL, out for season

By Edward Aschoff
Correspondent

Florida coach Urban Meyer announced that offensive lineman Matt Patchan tore his ACL in non-contact drills on Tuesday.

After practice on Wednesday, Meyer said that Patchan would apply for a medical redshirt.

Offensive coordinator Steve Addazio stated that Mike or Maurkice Pouncey could replace him if necessary.

Patchan backs up starting left tackle Carl Johnson.

It clearly says he is a backup not a starter, so it's not that big of an impact. Why all the fuss? Geez.

BTW, I do hate to see any player suffer serious injury and hope he has a full speedy recovery.

Gators are fine at OL. Patchan never started, came in in cleanup, from what I remember.

LSU should be concerned about UF's defensive line.
