That was one of the things I worried about at first when Malzahn was hired. After reading some stats, he is a run heavy spread guy. His philosophy is to use the run to set up the pass, as opposed to Tony Franklin who did the opposite.

I don't think we will be in the top 50 this year, but we will be damn sure better than the last 2 years.

It was posted, with a link, a while back that after 3 seasons, 3 conference championship games, and 3 bowls, Gus's offense has thrown the ball a grand total of one (1) less time than he has run it.

Gus is about tempo. He wants the ball snapped within 5 seconds of the spot. He wants wideouts chasing down incomplete passes and running the ball to the ref. Every player has a role to play in speeding up the offense.

This is mutally exclusive from ties to any particular formation. You can run the wishbone if you want.
