Written by a Tennessee columnist in a town that Lance and Lane promised to lock down?

Considering that Malone commited on Feb. 6, is it not entirely possible that the contact occured after the dead period. I believe it does end on Signing Day, which was Feb. 4.

the rules are different for contacting seniors vs juniors

I am no Auburn fan/supporter by any means, but you BAMA fans truly are idiots. You win 1 time in 7 years, and you start talking shite to other AU fans...UNBELIEVABLE! Posting pictures from the 2008 game. That's similar to how many of your fans suck Bear Bryants cock every chance you get and discuss the "Glory Days" when he was around. You guys truly are PATHETIC!

Auburn whipped your arse for 6 years straight before your eventual victory last year! You have NOTHING to brag about!

Once again, this is where LSU fans might as well just keep their lips sealed since they have no clue what they're talking about. When you have a true rival, the winner of that game has bragging rights for an entire year. The previous 6 or 10 or 20 have no bearing on this year. This year, we won and we can talk as much trash as we feel neccesary until November when we'll earn our bragging rights for next year. When you don't have a true rival, you won't understand. You shouldn't speak on subjects you don't understand.

Keep talking Alabama fans because you are doing nothing but shining more light on my previous assessment.

It doesn't really matter what you think because you're an LSU fan and don't understand. I'm not bragging about the "glory days" because I wasn't alive when they happened. But I will brag about beating the Barn because thats my right and I'll brag about beating LSU. I don't care about the previous 5 or 6. You of all people should know, we don't allow talking about history around here.

As a general rule, bragging rights are on a year-to-year basis. We don't give out 5 year or 10 year trophies.

So we can't live in the past or the present?

When you have a true rival
LSU destroys its rivals to the point that it's not a rivalry anymore. Tulane and Mississippi State, the two schools LSU has played the most, come to mind. Ole Miss is next on the list, but in recent decades Ole Miss hasn't paid its share of the rent. That leaves us with Arkansas, the best "true" rivalry for LSU, though LSU fans generally are loathe to admit it. It's the most underrated rivalry in football (the LSU/Arkansas game produces a Western division champ more than any other game this decade). And Arkansas has made it a respectable rivalry, going 7 for 17 since SEC expansion.

Basically, we'd have real rivalries, but they're either not good enough to compete with LSU or they're too scared (looking in your direction, Aggies).

I'd just like to point out that the writer is an LSU grad, and that this just looks like a pathetic attempt to take a shot at Saban while simultaneously trying to shift the focus off of Kiffins idiotic violations the past few days.

Last year we broke out of the prior losing years to LSU (5 times in a row) Auburn (6 times in a row plus Miss State (Twice in a row.) May the streak continue in '09. It may mean nothing to you..Because your not Us. So go enjoy your success..We'll enjoy ours..Go get a plate of Crawdads..and enjoy your day!

Saban went all across the state of Alabama and the Southeast visiting top juniors a couple of weeks ago. His little trip to visit Keiwan Malone was not an isolated incident

If ANYONE, ANYONE at all had a shred of proof, they would already be speaking to the SEC and the NCAA.

Nothing will come of this Calhoun, sorry.
