As far as you know LSU could keep sliding and end up the same as this year. There's no way in the world to tell. Talk to some of the older fellars that are LSU fans and get them to talk with you about the Dinardo years. I guarantee you they never saw LSU football the way it is now. Hell, ten years from now Ole Miss could wind up being alright.

I saw every bit of the Dinardo years. And the years before that.

The problem back then was the LSU administration and AD's, IMO. LSU is and always has been the flagship school in this state (which is loaded with talent). All it took was an administration to finally wake up and say "we WANT to win in football" and then take action to do so. LSU has always had the ability to win in football, but for some reason didnt take actions to do so....not enough anyway.

I dont see Ole Miss in this position to totally lock down its own state, much less consistently take recruits from other states.

If you cant lock down your own state, you cant win consistently IMO, unless youre in Fla, Cali, or Tex. Look around, There are VERY few examples that disprove this theory.
