Scoop - I have to disagree with you about JPW. I believe you guy's give too much emphasis as sensational player like Julio and the rest of the reciever's. In defense to JPW (Utah game) Bama's favorite dropped enough catchable passes in key conversions to win the game or put them back in the game. JPW has placed the ball in areas where NFL scouts like to see for a reciever only catch unfortunately your guys fail to make the catch in key situations including JPW's early years. Hearing this is as bad as LSU fans saying J. Russel throws the ball to hard which laughable at best.
JPW had a fumble and 2 INTs. He also missed badly on all of his deep throws. Beyond that he would have thrown a 3rd INT if Julio hadn't crushed the defensive back in the 4th quarter.
JPW is not a horrible QB but he is responsible for many more incompletions and turnovers than the WRs. Without the running game chewing up 200 yards a game and the defense stacking the box... he's tough to watch.

After watching Pryor in the Fiesta Bowl, you cannot honestly believe that a "new" QB in the SEC is going to help Bama be dominant?
I mean, c'mon, the Big 12 defenses are accustomed to get lit up, yet Pryor was only 5 for 13. In fact, OSU brought in the experienced QB for their run down the stretch. Bama doesn't have one of those.
All new QBs in a solid conf will have enough bumps along the way to produce a gut-wrenching year. We had ours this year. Plan on the same for Bama next yr.

quote:I can understand being hard to watch but he reminds me of Matt Mauck - threw the most horrible passes in the SEC and then threw some great passes. His trade mark like JPW is he was a good game manager, which is a trait oof the Saban system, to protect the football and take what the defense gives you.

Any QB is tough to watch getting sacked 8 times in a game and hit basically every play. Blame your crappy OL, not him.
