This is false. SEC wanted to re-sign with CBS. For $300m a year and CBS would get first pick of games week to week, as they had previously. CBS walked away. So the SEC signed another deal. Then CBS ended up signing with the Big10 for third choice of weekly games, and are paying $350m a year for it!. It is CBS who screwed the pooch.
