Moving to Conference USA.

Missouri State celebrated its upcoming new era of college athletics when it held a formal press conference detailing its impending move to Conference USA. The Bears, who have competed in the Missouri Valley Conference since 1990, will join CUSA as a full-league member before the 2025-26 season. The school announced its transition to the FBS conference on Friday morning.

Smart said that while Missouri State has spent around $31 million on athletics, it figures to spend $36 million once the school joins CUSA full-time come July 2025. According to the USA Today NCAA Finances Database for Fiscal Year 2022, a $36 million budget would put it near the top of the league.

They will be one of the top baseball teams in the conference

The only requirement is probably maintaining a home crowd attendance of 15,000. The rest I think they have already met.

The attendance requirement is only 15,000 and it’s not enforced. The only other requirement is to fill 90% of scholarships available. They would need to fill 76.5

Ehh, doubtful. Guttin is now retired and he stayed a couple years too long where they have been just awful he's kind of ran it into the ground. Word is they are just promoting his top assistant to HC. Under .500 in the MVC 4 of the last 5 years.

I think it costs $5 million per year for D1 for membership fee?

If anybody has more info on it I appreciate it.
