I'd change the name to anything if auburn would get kicked out.

“Southern Comfort” has a certain ring to it.

All current teams are south and east of the geographic center of the continental united states (Lebanon Kansas, which is in the central norther part of Kansas, just a bit north of Columbia Missouri and just barely west of Austin Texas).

South Bend is too far north for that to hold true, But most of WV and VA and even MD are technically in the south east. Same is true for the most southern parts of Indiana, Illinois, and even the very southern tip of Ohio. OK State, Baylor, Houston and TCU are still in the Southeast by that measure. Texas Tech is not.

edit: Both Kansas and Kansas State are south and east of Lebanon as well.

I want it geographical. The old PAC12 members have absolutely fricked the athletes in any sport but football (not great for them either). They have to fly six hours from the west coast to places like Rutgers for a weekend, but what about every other sport? Baseball may have to travel on a Thursday morning for a F-S-Su series, and land at home at 2 o clock in the morning for most of the season. Two days of class down the tube, probably three because they'll land so late on Sunday/Monday AM.

Missouri should for sure GTFO, but at least they're in proximity to the rest of the schools.

College football will go back to regionality soon, first the media wants to trim the fat. Eventually the sec and big will merge. Why pay multiple staffs millions when one can do it. It’ll probably still look like afc vs nfc but one staff overseeing it all, the tv deals will be even bigger bc it’ll be one conference selling rights to all broadcasters.
