Think the board is hitting him because it is a well known fact LSU embraced NIL fully until it was completely understood.
LSU is the ONLY one to purchase NU Timed Square billboard time to promote LSU NIL.
LSU may not be in bidding war for a particular player but LSU is working with boosters for NIL deals. If not, there would be none.

I have to question the intelligence of this board then.
He never said that aren't participating in NIL, he never said they won't pay players.
He said they aren't interested in taking players out of the portal who are just looking to go to the highest bidder.
