Perhaps they'll even come up with their own "bowl game system", etc. Stick a fork in it -- college sports is done.

I'm not advocating for what's happening to college football, but isn't it a bit of an overreaction to say college sports are "done" because the G5 is making their own top 25 poll? We're talking about a sport that has been absolutely dominated by a handful of programs since World War II. It's not like we're suddenly creating a system of haves and have nots, it has always been this way. If you can name one school that is currently in any of the G5 conferences that you want Georgia to put on the schedule, I'll drop this argument entirely.

Really a rehash of FBS/FCS from the BCS days. Seems like a natural evolution in response to the coming landscape changes.

I assume if they create their own poll they will be excluded from the current coaches poll. They will lose exposure. No one talked about d2 top 25 and no one talk about the g5 poll. Some of these smaller schools get exposure when included in the polls. I never knew of liberty until they were winning and ranked in the polls. No one will pay attention to the G5 poll
