I can argue with nothing in this post. I don't think we make it to Omaha unless our bats suddenly heat up.

The bats have long been heated up, they just don't give enough heat.

So you’re saying Sims wasn’t a major part of our pitching that year?

I know you said starter but that’s just tossing probably the most dominant closer we’ve ever had on a team to the wayside. When Sims came in the game was over.

aTm was #1 not Arkansas.

Arkansas has played 49 games and has won 40 of them. They’re 18-9 against Q1 and Q2 teams. No Q3 or Q4 losses.

Yes, they’re a top 5 team.

Arkansas has won something like 30 of its last 36 SEC series dating back to 2020 or something close to it with 2 of the last 3 SEC titles.

Let’s let the season play out and see what happens.

You’re right. I should have noted that it’s a lot easier setting up the bullpen when there’s a closer like Landon Sims at the back

Said it for weeks, Arkansas simply doesnt have the bats to compete with the bigs boys. They can certainly win the Regional round but think getting out of the Super is gonna be tough unless the bats magically arrive. And no way they get into the final four with their offense. Simply too many MLB bats in college this year, of which, Arkansas is lacking.

Just need more thump from anywhere in the lineup to make a run at winning it all

Arkansas is batting .196 with runners in scoring position in SEC play. I don’t think you’re going to find that thump.

Would 100% disagree.

The larger field in Omaha plays into the favor of Arkansas as well as the pitching.

It helps that I live 25 mins away from campus and married into a Hawg family haha.

I am gauging this from the fact yall didn’t run rule us on Sunday and all the games were somewhat close against LSU.

That's fair, but we also have to actually get to Omaha for that to factor in

A minority of idiots want DVH gone. Most of us just want Nate Thompson to move on if this is what we're going to have to keep dealing with for the batting situation. If anything, most of the fan base gets curiously overprotective and bulldog about criticism against DVH.

Fair analysis actually.

For sure. We can never put it all together, we either have the hitting or the pitching but never the same year it seems. It's frustrating to be a hog fan

this, and fricking count me in....

That man is not to be HARMED! Love the dude! He is the epitome of what a real old time baseball coach with integrity and knowledge should be, and yet still commands respect and recruits well.

No one's harming him. They're telling him his a-hole has gotten Nate Thompson's dick as warm as it's gonna get.

DVH doesn’t choke. He just has a flawed style. He prefers defense over offense and never gets enough offense to get the job done. Now he’s trying to find some offense and it’s costing the defense a bit. The pitching is worn TF out from carrying the load all season.
