Recruiting continued the way it has?

It may be improved but it’s all relative. Missouri generally pulls in classes that rank in the bottom half of the conference. This hasn't changed, Missouri finished 20th last year and currently they are 26th in this year’s 247 rankings.

Texas, Alabama, UGA, LSU, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma consistently pull in top ten classes and Tennessee, Auburn and Florida also have that capability.

There's no indication Missouri is going to consistently out recruit these programs moving forward.

I don't think anyone here would argue anything other than historically, Mizzou has gotten smoked on the recruiting front. And obviously there is still some ground to make up to catch the top SEC programs. But there is no indication that Mizzou has stopped improving on the recruiting front either. And regardless, this thread isn't about whether Mizzou is more likely to out-recruit Georgia or LSU. My response was to the question about which SEC program that has not won the SEC is likely to get it done first.

I ranked Mizzou third behind OU and Texas, but ahead of Texas A&M. Mizzou and Texas A&M's 2024 and 2025 classes are pretty damn close. But they have a new coach coming in and lost a ton of talent to the portal. Mizzou is building off an 11-win season and NY6 bowl victory against Ohio State. We have probably the best WR core in college football, a stout o-line, and a seasoned QB. It's really a matter of whether the defense can reload after losing a lot of talent to the NFL draft.
