What an absolute shite post in literally every way

I know Saban left but dammit I didn’t know we’d be throwing basketball school around in Tuscaloosa so quickly

it’s fun to have the best coach in the conference

I mean, Arkansas and UK are getting great portal players, and it has nothing to do with their coaches.
Fans... lol. You probably believe players come to your school because of Pearl, though, right?
Because it's what you WANT to believe. Just as you WANT to believe those reasons you posted that Cliff is not a good fit for Bama. So rather than be objective about it and (begrudgingly) admit that the school that is a rival to the one you pull for is doing very well, you mention the things that you WANT to be real (even though they're not).

A massive pickup in a must-have position. Now if we get Jarin Stevenson and MarkSears back for another run at the title, we good.

Again, you guys get so emotional when someone offers a valid point. Tells me that most of these UAT posters in here just started watching basketball in the past 4 years.

Their roster makes no sense. UAT is just getting top portal guys who don’t really fit the coach’s style.
Nate Oats clearly has no idea what he’s doing. Is there any way you can get through to him and offer your superior college basketball scouting and evaluation skills? At least try to talk him before he makes this foolish mistake? Please!

Describe an Oats systems ideal center, please.
People have given you very non emotional rebuttals that show the type of player Cliff is is who Alabama recruited at center under Oats. So at this point, you seem to just be arguing that Oats doesn't understand the ideal center for his roster. Which seems a little silly considering his resume and the fact that his system is literally his system.
You also said that Oats only plays 7 players which is easily refuted by data, even in a year with a short roster like last year.

What was the best defense Oats has had at Bama and who was the center?

what valid point have you offered? everything you said has been explicitly refuted by multiple ppl who posted a bunch of data in response.
you’re the one in your feelings in here. big time. coping hard. very sad!

That’s just not correct at all.
The numbers bear out that Nate Oats has surpassed Bruce Pearl in nearly every category. I don't expect you to realize this because you have been shown numbers in this thread and chosen to ignore them.
An even bigger sign will be, what will Oats do after his Final Four run compared to Pearl. For now on paper Bama looking like a contender.

Again, do you know anything about Auburn? You don’t. Bruce has literally played with an average team talent wise but gets the most out of them. You know nothing about how difficult it is to recruit in the NIL era when your boosters are not invested. I mean, Duke Miles went to Oklahoma because of NIL and chance to start. Oklahoma has had nowhere near the success but they still for the most part have gotten more talented players than Auburn. Sorry that doesn’t fit your reality. Your team has had more talent than Auburn every year , yet the two teams have had almost identical success. Tell me you know nothing about basketball without telling me.

AU basketball fans have had a pretty bad week. Missed on 2 of their recruits while Bama may have a roster of 9-10 future stars, with a couple good role players as well.
Offered them a 1yr SECRant self ban on Bruce vs. Oats tourney success in the next 3 years and got crickets. They know in their minds they’ve been passed up, but don’t want to admit it publicly yet. They should still be pretty good this year and who knows what happens with injuries, but Bama as a program is set up to be better over the next 5 years than AU, which will silence all the comparisons from their end.

Your point is in no way valid, and you obviously don't know shite about Alabama basketball or Nate Oats system.
Posted on 5/5/24 at 12:59 pm to AUSCgrad2016
I agree that we’ve had more talent and will continue to for the foreseeable future.
It’s a big reason we’ve had so much more success this decade than Auburn and why Oats has a winning record against Pearl imo.

Seems like I brought out a lot of insecurities and an inferior complex with the UAT fan base. It’s like roaches in here now, say something you don’t like and automatically go on defense mood. I never said he wasn’t a good player. I’m just saying that he doesn’t fit with your style and that your current crop of players just seem really random. I’ve watched many of these guys coming in for you guys and it’s just an odd fit. I have no doubt you’ll be preseason top 10 based on talent. But again, just because you have the most talented roster doesn’t mean it fits in your system and I’m just seeing some issues. Geesh, you people need to grow a spine.
