Miss State fans celebrating beating up on a team that’s 2-9 in conference play on the road with two sweeps and possibly a third today

Well my god, when they banish us to the espn app every week, what the frick does a smoothbrain like you expect? It's hard to gather a following year after year if you do that. If college football was only available on an app casted to your TV, it wouldn't have the numbers it does.

Meanwhile, every softball game is taking up damn near every espn spot all day, all weekend. Too many white men, I guess?

It shouldn't be hard for you to understand why college baseball can't get a footing when they make it a 2nd and 3rd rate sport on their broadcast decisions.

They put women’s basketball on network TV plus ESPN. Blanket coverage.

Yesterday, for a lil while, ESPN had the same girls softball game on two channels.

The baseball games? On the ESPN app, SEC Net +, that requires an upgrade to get.

Yea.. ratings are gonna be a lil down.

The market dictates your platform and visibility. If there was demand for college baseball it would have a better platform.

The market dictates women's basketball and softball have more demand than college baseball. Them's just the facts.

I could see 7-8 SEC teams in the supers and 3-4 teams in Omaha like 2022.

I said it earlier this year, Bama when playing at full potential is a top 10 team.

Early 90s there was a woman in Starkville that would spit tobacco juice at the Alabama coaches.

Just wait til they go into football season ranked #5 with a west coast pussy staff and end with 3 or 4 losses.

A lot of burnt down trailer parks in Tuscaloosa in their future.

Also, I love Bama and everything about it. Still licking my wounds after they humiliated the SEC twice this year. God that was horrible.

As an Alabama baseball fan I am pretty happy we took one game. No one is pretending Alabama’s baseball team or program is great. Just solid middle of the pack, which is exactly where they are. Mississippi State was the higher ranked team with the better record playing at home. They should have won the series.

I have said it before and will say it again. I am glad Mississippi State takes baseball seriously since they don’t take football or basketball seriously. Their fans deserve something to be excited about.

Didn't watch. But, maybe some of the Bama players had no more shits to give.

lol @ OP for bragging about beating a team that struggles against everybody on the road and had 24 players in the ER Friday night/Saturday morning.

At ESPN? That’s owned by Disney? That’s ran by Kathleen Kennedy? That has lost billions pushing woke movies and has essentially ruined classic franchises? Who has, unapologetically to shareholders, watched their stock sink from 2020-2021 on entertainment and streaming losses?

Yea. They are truly in tune to market forces.

Not saying LSU, Vandy and Florida are bad teams at all, but simply looking at the teams in the SEC over .500 and under .500 Bama has played 1 of the other 6 teams that's under .500 (Ole Miss) of course LSU & Auburn are upcoming, but this just proves Bama's schedule this year with UK and UGA turning into very good teams makes Bama schedule so far a lot harder than others. Auburn at the end might help some.

Losing one of our best pitchers early of course hurt us. If we had lost him late, we get at least a couple of more SEC wins mixed in, we lost games like 10-9 and 9-8 so it hurts overall, no doubt.

The fact of the matter is that softball was lucky enough to establish their game at seven innings... play with a fat ball that makes it easier for the defense to make spectacular plays...and to play on a smaller diamond where tight plays are the norm.

Makes for a shorter, more appealing game for the non baseball types of fans.

The TV programmers hate baseball because they never know how long a game will last. 90% of softball games will fit in a two to two and a half hour window.
