because 2021 and 2022 are still so recent.

Heading into 2021, we didn't know in august what we'd end up knowing in January regarding a lot of things. We had no idea Bowers woudl be what he was. We didn't know Nakobe woudl be another roquan. We didn't know Travon would go from backup player to #1 pick. Etc, etc. etc. So I fully GET why there's a lot things that COULD happen in 2024 that we simply can't see yet and don't know yet.

But I would be extremely hard pressed to think we're going to have any team for quite a while that stacks up the same as 2021/2022. Either one of those teams would likely go down as the best in school history and we had them back to back. Still really just incredible when you think about it. Addiitonally with the utterly stupid expansion it's pretty much a given we're going to lose at least 1 and likely multile games a year. The league is simply far too tough to get through without a loss anymore. And while it may not be exactly 100% fair, I think seeing a blemish or two on the resume may keep people from proclaming a team as our best ever.

I don't have a problem with the SEC expansion, but the scheduling smells fishy. The first season's schedules are very unbalanced, which I guess can happen. But to double down by repeating those same schedules in year two seems like goal seeking by somebody. I'm surprised all of the coaches signed off on that.
