It is amusing to me that the Hawg fans on here only look at the “Calipari” label and think they got a steal at a garage sale and left us high and dry. Cal did not leave UK to go to a better job at Ark. He left because he was not meeting expectations over and over and over and hence his donor support dried up. He had no choice but to go elsewhere.

He might execute a good run at Ark but make no mistake he was done at UK. Cats are looking forward not backward.

Cal left Kentucky on his own to Arkansas. Kentucky was not going to pay that buyout just to end up hiring Mark freakin’ Pope. Cal could’ve coached at Kentucky for a few more years, at least.

What’s amusing is the delusion from Kentucky fans. They really thought Billy Donovan or Dan Hurley were going to leave their jobs just because it’s Kentucky.
