Exhibit A - 2017 Houston Astros Regular Season
Home Splits - 395 R, 115 HR, .812 OPS (48 wins 33 losses)
Away Splits - 501 R, 123 HR, .834 OPS (53 wins 28 losses)

So in theory, all that "cheating" the Astros did at home actually hurt them more than it helped them.. I am a huge Astros fan and I never really understood why they felt like they needed to do that.. then again, we don't hit great at MMP for whatever reason.. 2019 lost all 4 at home in WS.. idk if it's the batter's eye or something else..

Bottom line: It's possible for "cheating" to hurt you.

On the whole, that is true. It affected individuals differently. Marwin was greatly helped.
