Still not sure what went wrong with the 2010 team. No BAMA team ever lost 3 regular season games again during the Nick Saban era. As a side note, BAMA went to the Citrus that year and destroyed a good Kirk Cousins-led Michigan State team. Cousins never saw the end of the game. What a weird year.

So glad to learn that we’ve played the #1 team more than anyone else in the country. Good times.

Had some key injuries and later CNS said some players were more worried about the draft than the team, or something like that.

True, but we were loaded with talent. We had a near-death experience vs Arkansas as well. It's amazing how BAMA stayed consistent after all that success, year after year when you think about it.

In hindsight, the other losses were mildly bearable just because of that game. The Big10 co champs having to punt on 4th and goal. That was a "make their assess quit " game

Coach Saban's old team was looking for an upset. Instead, they got taken to the proverbial woodshed. I still remember Coach Saban's face when he put in Eddie Lacy and he took it to the house late in the game. The man hated to run up the score.

Sounds vaguely familiar.

I did not expect to be one of the more winningest teams on this list. I can't lie.

Bama is the only team that has a winning record vs No 1. That's crazy

While he hated running up the score, he didn't seem to mind his defense annihilating 3 MSU QB's in that game.
