Ok, its not an according to Hoyle sweep, BUT. The 8th seed Denver Nuggets won the last three games of their series against the 1 seed Sonics (with The Glove and Kemp etc) after going down 2-0 to pull off arguably the greatest upset in NBA history.
Pretty sure that series was almost single handedly responsible for them going to all 7 game series down the road.

First time in history an 8 seed beat a 1 seed. It cant be stressed enough how big of a deal this was at the time. It also seemed there wasn't as much parity in the league at the time, and the style of play favored the better team more so than today.
