LSU is 42 in the updated RPI. Teams that go 13-17 need to have a really high RPI to get an at large bid. They might be able to play their way in if they get to 14-16 and win some games at Hoover.

If LSU goes 6-3 down the stretch, which I don’t think they will, their RPI will be back in the 20’s. They would most likely make it at 13-17.

Make it to Hoover?

They would most likely make the NCAA Tournament in that scenario, which I admit is a long shot at this point.

With one series left it looks like Florida and LSU are out. Florida needs to win their series at Georgia and LSU needs to sweep Ole Miss at home to even have a chance. Both look doubtful.

Ole Miss is in a little better position. If they can win their road series at LSU they have a chance. A sweep would likely get them in. A road sweep is unlikely.

USC kissed their chances of hosting goodbye by getting swept. They likely get roughed up further in Knoxville this weekend.

State likely takes their place as host as long as they can win their series at Missouri.

Alabama needs to win at least one at Auburn to feel comfortable, but with their #11 RPI one win should make them a lock. If they were to get swept by Auburn they might find themselves on the outside looking in.

There is a very good chance Florida won’t have a winning record and won’t even be eligible. Florida is currently 26-25. And they likely have more losses coming. If they go 1-2 this weekend, they will need to win two games in Hoover just to go .500. It seems very likely they finish below .500.

No way... Ole Miss is in baby. Will sweep LSU and will bust out the fire extinguisher to celebrate.

Road series in the SEC are tough. I see LSU winning the series 2-1. And thus keeping both LSU and Ole Miss at home.
