Someone seems to think this is Reddit or YouTube and posts can be downvoted out of sight.

Kentucky is dropping fast. A bit of fools gold as 1st half season much more of a cake walk. Doubtful they hold on to host a regional.

What? Where do you people come from?

Kentucky has 21 Q1 & Q2 wins on the season.

Kentucky has an excellent team and record but the last two weekends have taken some of the luster off the team. All teams usually have a dip or two during the season. It is extremely difficult to play at a high level the entire year.
This upcoming weekend will show us if they are mired in a deep slump or just a blip along the way.

Why? Because they lost a close series to #3 Tennessee at home and lost a close series on the road at #20 South Carolina? I dont think they have lost any luster.

Not really. They are playing the #2 team in the nation with the best pitching staff in the country. They could go 4-5 the rest of the way and win 20 games in the toughest league in the nation.

When you go from 14-1 to 16-5 in a week, yes some of your luster has dulled.

I said Kentucky has an excellent team. But if you keep losing two out of three each week, then your shine starts to get dull.
The overall record is still very good. But if you lose two of three this week and your conference record falls to 17-7, that means you are trending in the wrong direction.

By no means is it a death knell but would be cause for concern IMO.

The good news is , you are still in good shape at the current time.

Also no coincidence the original post everyone is responding to is from an A&M fan. A few of their fans have shite on us all season.

It is what it is. If A&M was 4th in the division most of them wouldn't even be here. A bit worse than that and even Farmer would disappear.

Some of us are always here. But I think Kentucky has a great team, but a tough path right now.

I also think Tennessee has the best chance of getting the #1 seed in the SEC tournament looking at the remaining schedules for all the teams still in it and looking at road series and home series.

Arkansas has the toughest path right now, but they are the one who have the most control as well. Their fate is in their hands moreso than anyone else.
