There are so many legitimate ways to let players know where they are needed and they all know hoe to communicate.
Guys are jumping into the portal and they have "no contact" tags on their big jump. They know where they are going BEFORE they get in. How did that happen, Sherlock?

Sounds like Saban is saying that Alabama would have liked to have gotten this player out of the portal if he had ever entered the portal. He never entered, so they couldn’t.
Not sure how that is tampering. They can scout players from other teams all they want.

You are making your own assumptions. All he is saying is that he was someone they identified as someone they wanted to get out of the transfer portal, but he never went into the transfer portal to get him.
Otherwise, he would have said they couldn't get him to transfer. The only reason you want to get them into the transfer portal is so you can contact them.

You aren't allowed to contact a player until they are in the portal.
All Saban is saying is they hoped he would enter the portal so they could recruit him, but he never did.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong point. Nowhere in that statement is an admission to tampering, cheating, or anything else.

Why would they plan for a kid that’s not even in the portal if they hadn’t been talking to him already? You don’t waste time recruiting kids you know you don’t have a chance at.
