We have no equal, so everyone wants to beat us.
Games we care about…a lot when we lose
1 - The stinking Vols. If you refer to them as the actual name of the school I question your decision making process, or you’re probably just young and haven’t seen enough daisy puke orange uniforms to last a lifetime yet.
2 - The Barn. If you lose that game you’re going to hear about from a friend, relative or co-worker for a year. Not a problem with the stinking Vols as they’re all inbred, have no friends or work.
3 - LSU. Toughest game year in and year out since they hired Nick Saban and they got good on a regular basis. Best hater fans (I mean this is the TD forum and has attracted some good ones). I can take losing this one because they’re fisking good most years now.
4 - Rising up the list- Georgia. Just because they’re trying to be us, and as long as they keep Kirby are likely to be doing a good job of it. We still own them head to head for now so there’s that.

I don't consider Tech a rival anymore. I'm not sure why we still play that game. I would rather play Clemson every year.

Everyone else has an in state rival except Arkansas, and LSU is maybe their 3rd biggest rival.
For a while, it was looking like Bama would be a bitter rivalry since it was always the most watched SEC game and in the Miles years it had big implications for the winner, but Bama already has a LOOOOONG standing rivalry with Tennessee, and of course Auburn is probably the biggest rivalry in college football behind Ohio St / Michigan. They don’t have room for LSU.
Florida had potential because of the 90s and the change to now, but again, they already have rivals that won’t be replaced by out of state. Same with A&M.

I agree with most of your order but I would flip Auburn and Florida in the Today list. My reasoning relates to recruiting. Auburn takes a lot more state for Georgia recruits than Florida so consistently beating Auburn lessens that impact on our recruiting.

Maybe South Carolina or LSU down here but Vols are a friendly school that gets along with most everyone though.

In real life hog fans hate Texas the most and Ole Miss comes second.
