“Johnny Vaught”

My sister is good friends with a coworker who has a house on Yonah Lake. Years ago their neighbor was a former Florida backup fullback when Spurrier was QB for them. He said in those days, you didn’t even look at a coach like Johnny Vaught. It was almost a sign of disrespect in his words. He said same deal with Bear Bryant. He had a cool “spirit house” with all sorts of old Florida memorabilia. Dude could still bench like 225 in his late 60s / early 70s. Super nice guy. Ran a mental health hospital for a while helping struggling young men. Great dude to drink with at his boat house / pontoon.
