This.

I think it was a win win for everybody involved.

It was.

Now, depending on how things shake out by the end of the portal, Kentucky fans might not think so. We seem to have missed on a couple of guys already, both players and coaches, so a bit of a slow start.

Seems maybe all the guys won't go with Cal, but I guess that is not determined yet, so we might both be figuring out some things.

As a Kentucky fan, I suspect this season might be a bit rocky depending on whether Pope can possibly bring back a couple of guys that are still out there (thiero and Burks), and get the one 5* guy left, and then 3-5 solid portal upper classmen, things might be alright. If we end up with at least 8 guys then I think this season will be similar to the last, which would be a win overall.
I think it's going to take a couple of years for Pope to get in a groove.

I have no exposure to Arkansas, but if Cal missed on a couple of the recruits transferring, not sure what that means. I still think he gets DJ to move, and that would bring Billy Richmond with him, and I suspect DJ will be phenomeonal in his second season. Z will be much improved, but I have no idea who else he is reaching out to.

Regardless of anything else happening, I really hate that you now are in bidding wars for players. Does no one want to play for a school anymore?

It just seems wrong, but it's the world we live in now.
