It has more to do with putting Holman in the middle so you use your bullpen more in games 1 & 3 with a rest day in the middle. Jay said that. It's smart. Not something I had considered. At the end of the day though, all of the strategy stuff isn't the issue. Everyone just needs to play better.

Yep, try to win game 1 with a few younger guys out of the pen. If not, use them sparingly enough to still go on day 3.

If Holman gets beat, you were getting swept anyway.

Holman gives us the most innings, but he really hasn't been able to go deep very often. If we can successfully save Ack for Sunday, that legitimately improves this team. Herring, and the emergency of Moffett and Johnson give you a chance to get through Friday.

I don't know how you get through Saturday without Ack though.
