Let's have a serious conversation about bullshite insiders.

Over here at Arkansas that's pretty much all we have. They are the guys that get played on every coaching search, and "insider" info on every top recruit.
Every school has a few, but I have to say this Arkansas/Kentucky situation has outed our insiders again, but it's also outed the biggest fraud in the SEC.
Matt Jones, who covers Kentucky is has to be the biggest dealer in homer bullshite for clicks. It's still an ongoing situation with recruiting and portal stuff. Check it out, it's comedy gold.
I would appreciate if you would out the bullshiters at whatever school you're a fan of. Here at Arkansas, we get fed bullshite until someone from the national media breaks news that wasn't on anyone's radar.

As a Tennessee fan that's excited about John Gruden's 7th season as our HC, I'm glad we don't have this problem. All of our insiders were spot on.

Under Saban I’m not sure we really had any true football insiders in the classic sense.
There was a lot of behind-the-scenes knowledge to be had sure, but like the military, you really only knew your particular parts of it, and that never included final decision making.
And I’m relatively certain he’d occasionally have some random department feed out false information just to track down potential leakers.

This is true. All they care about is breaking a story. The rivals basketball guy is the best at being wrong and spinning it like he is right. And the posters over there lick his nutts whenever he pops in on something.

It’s a fine line, right? To be a knowledgeable insider, you also have to be a major suckass and be susceptible to being played.
Problem with Looch is that he’s so damn smug and contemptuous of his subscriber base (much less the people who refuse to actually pay for that abuse). This is what makes him such a douche IMO (as opposed to the “bullshite” aspect).

At Oklahoma these guys aren't too bad about the bullshite part.
But the dork/dweeb/twerp factor is really high amongst all the "so called" OU insiders. They are just about at the same level as all the You Tube geeks.

Almost a certainty. I know there were people tasked with monitoring message board activity. Media credentials get threatened regularly.
