Just a couple generic questions

Son ran into someone. He says they didn't have brake lights or no turn signal, nevertheless he hit her. His fault I get that. We just got served, lady is now suing my son (16) myself, and my wife. Saying he was intoxicated. Police report clearly states there was no alcohol involved.

I also have proof he wasn't on his phone.

My question, do we have any recourse for the false accusations? Being that this was filed and now it's public record any college scout could look for this and find it. Listen if he did it then I would tell him you screwed up but he didn't do anything except hit the lady. Now he says she didn't have brake lights and no turn signal but we have no dash cam to prove that so it is what it is. She told the officer that they worked before he hit her.

I'm just ticked about somebody just getting to say he was drunk when there was nothing of the sort happening, Even according to police and the hospital when he was taken

Get a lawyer ASAP.

Taylor king was my lawyer a few years ago and he got a 25% cut of my settlement for a hit and run with no insurance.

Look into getting a dash cam for the future. I have the blackvue 900s Front and rear cam with battery when car is parked.

State Farm is providing a lawyer at no cost.

This was going to be my suggestion. They need to check and see if she or her family have a history of these type of claims. Some folks try to do this for a living, I’m sure your lawyer knows that.

I sat on a jury where a guy was suing for supposed injuries from a fender bender, of course it was his back and neck, but his wife had filed a won a lawsuit a few years back. It took us 5 minutes to rule against him.

I deleted it. Thought I got it down before anybody has a chance but oh well. Im not scared. I've got nothing to hide but at the same time don't want to be left up to some Internet idiot either.

She's a crackhead and I knew as much that night but I didn't have a freaking dash cam.
