Cal is only washed up because he took a step up to Arkansas

Pitino is still an outstanding coach. I’ve watched him at Iona and this year at St. John’s and he still seems to have plenty of gas in the tank. If all the front runners fall through then sign him to a 5 year contract then see what happens. They could do a whole lot worse. I wouldn’t be unhappy with him as coach I don’t care how old he is.

When you are resort to the double digit numbers on your offer list and hoping to pry him from ST Johns, you have to do all you can to spin hiring a 70+ year old as HC.

If this happens, how long will it be before we see Kentucky fans on this board again?

Pitino said he hoped to beat Cals record for final fours at individual schools (they're tied currently) when st John's hired him
The man still has passion

Would be fitting for him to end his career at UK.

He is 6 years older than Bruce.
Both are a temporary fix, who would end their careers at KY.
