As a fan, I want to know:
1- When did they know.
2- If they knew, why reinstate him
3- GB is a great AD. If he knew about this and still went through with the hire, there is an issue with him.
4- GB is a great AD, but if he did not know this, he did a piss poor job. That should be the top priority of every AD when making a hire. "Any players ever in trouble with the law and what were the charges or allegations?"
With that said, we do not know:
- if this guy is guilty or not.
- under what circumstances he was reinstated. Was it due to it appeared he was cleared? etc. But admittedly, it does not appear that way.

Nah, things like this happen pretty regularly. It is often the case in these highly political scenarios surrounding the "believe all women" mantra that the police will investigate, find that there isn't enough evidence to pursue charges, and then some ridiculous DA will come back months later and decide to move forward because it's politically popular in the area where they're operating.

It was reported to them in Late November, they suspended him basically immediately.

They only did after more than 2 weeks later. Most likely there wasn't enough evidence as it's just a school and you only have statements from the people involved. The police were notified more than a month prior to Washington finding out, and they still had not charged him at that time. They wouldn't have enough evidence to charge him until 6 months later. So the school would obviously not have any solid evidence either.

No issue at all. Rape cases are handled by the school itself, not the football program. The school would be the one to remove him from campus for the safety of others, not the athletic program or the HC. The HC is not hired to carry out the investigations or anything like that. If the school says he is enrolled and it's ok, there is no reason for the program to not play him. He can only assume the investigation turned up nothing.

Again, same as #3. It's not in the HC's or AD's department to investigate or do any such things. It's an investigation and decision at the university. It's not relevant. This was a title IX report.

Doesn't really matter if he is guilty or not, what matters is the information at the time. Again, if it took the cops 6 months to charge him, what kind of information/proof do you expect the school to have? I'm sure they shared all the information they had with the police, and still the police did nothing. What are they supposed to do, suspend a player because of an accusation nobody can find proof to back up?
If they didn't give information to the police in order to cover it up, that's when it's bad. But I've seen no indication of that, nor would it be reasonable to assume the school and coaches would risk such a thing over a rapist, especially when he's rushed for less than 200 yards on the year for 0 TDs. It's not Peyton Manning.
