No, Bama lost but was in the lead late vs. Purdue. It means Purdue had a 7'4 guy who can win games in a different style, when UCONN had a 7'2 guy you saw his dominance waned a good but.
Plus Bama was an engineered team this year, having quite a few players transfer in, it took time for them to gel it seems. They had a late lull, but if you notice, they could never seem to beat a team with great Bigs, Arizona, Purdue, UK, UCONN. We needed one of lasts years Bigs to stay, I think we had one injured early on this year also.
But in Perdues defense, they are the only team on that list who doesn't have double digit losses.
