We had 7 starters ejected in an active game and most were players at the top of the order. They don’t get to bat and have to be replaced by essentially the JV squad and we have pitchers in the outfield. Next day, SEC comes out and says they fricked up. Yeah, nothing to see here.

Late on this reply, but I get State got shafted pretty hard by that. I think we had a similar number of players ejected both the night of and after the review. We had a pitcher in the outfield, a DH catching, a separate pitcher was also hitting, etc. It did hurt y’all a lot because you had so many starters on the field already running in that general direction so when the SEC offices look at a wide shot and count who needs to be removed it hurt your active lineup more. The rule was stupid but was applied equally both times unless you really believe the SEC is stepping in to help Georgia baseball against your stronger baseball program. Water under the bridge now and it was an awesome series. Every game was in question in the 8th/9th innings and a 2-1 series win for y’all is probably accurate
