am getting way too giddy thinking about this possible roster. I am guessing we are ranked top ten and competing in the Maui.

As long as we can get another decent PF like Godfrey and get Miles, this seems a likely scenario. As long as we can get PF this is definitely a roster to get super stoked about.

Godfrey seems like has a lot of potential. His production per minute last year was really good, he just didn't get a ton of PT because Clemson had 2 other really good forwards. He had a really good and efficient NCAA tourney.

I know Georgia has a beat on him too.. anybody else?

So I'm looking into information about the Godfrey visit and stumble upon this article. Is it just me but how do you get this much wrong in a short article?

Auburnwire from USAToday:
"Auburn basketball’s 2024-25 roster will be filled with talent. Auburn has added transfer JP Pegues to mesh with freshman guards Tahaad Pettiford and Jakhi Howard. It also helps that star Johni Broome and key contributors Chaney Johnson, Chris Moore, and Dylan Cardwell are set to return."

Wait, Howard is now a guard? Strike 1
And no mention of CBM as a "key contributor set to return"? Strike 2
What about Denver? Bad omission that could have been strike 3.
"key contributor" is Chris Moore? Another questionable call that could have been strike 3 or 4.

"At the time of this post, Auburn has three returning forwards on its roster: Chaney Johnson, Chris Moore, and Addarin Scott."

Again, no mention of CBM? Strike 3
And if they are meaning PF, why is Moore mentioned? Strike 3 if the previous blunder didn't get called.

The only thing I got out of the article useful was Godfrey has already visited VaTech and Oklahoma.

They are dominating us in every relevant category.

Before that TRASH Final Four, they'd lost 4 of 6 and all by 14 or more. They went to the Final Four and only had 25 wins. And 12 losses

We got bounced in the 1st Rd and had 27 & 7. Maybe you should playing with Nate's Oats and actually be real. They've done pretty much the exact same thing we have over the last 5 years. A couple of reg season titles, a couple of tourney titles, a Final Four. THE END.

Bring this energy to the rant. I'm already mowing through these bama heifers like a dog driving a ZTR through the dandelions.

That sucks. Gotta land one. I like Chaney's ceiling as starter but we need to be more solidified at the 4.

His dad played linebacker for Georgia and in the NFL. It was always going to be a tough pull even with a clear path to starters minutes.

You’ve been on the Georgia lean the whole time while Hoke wasn’t even mentioning them. Props to you my friend. He said Georgia is prepared to offer starter minutes and big NIL.

It's down to these last couple of schollys and the NIL funds might be getting a little thin.

Yeah he left today. Comments were as good as you could hope. Said it’s been a life long dream to play for Auburn. Loved the visit. Felt like home. Going back home to talk it over with his parents and likely makes a decision by the end of the week. Gotta feel good barring a big school swooping in and offering the starting job.

My guess is the coaches sold him on getting caught up to this level of play this year and then starting his final year.

Nathan King phrased it pretty simply. Instate kid, no other visits planned with a decision shortly.... Sounds about as close to a done deal as these things get
