Without getting too deep into it, let me be very clear; you are not at all correct.

You're speaking as an enlisted man - a man I have great respect for - but not a man, or woman, that chooses to attend a Service Academy. If you go back, and read real slowly, you'll find that our discussion was about Service Academies.

So your stance is that you only get angry if one team is out there and one isn't?

I'm not angry, it's a bad look and you can keep making excuses and pointing at other people all you want.

Most of the time teams are told to go to the locker room so they can come back out as part of the pregame ceremonies. Iowa being out there means they were not told that. Or, Iowa just made LSU look bad.

As far as you wanting to point fingers at Alabama, it likely has more to do with TV, because it seems like they no longer air the national anthem. I can't say for sure because I haven't paid specific attention to it, but I can't really remember the last time I saw them air the national anthem before a game, but they always show the teams coming out of the tunnel.

In big games where they show the national anthem on TV, I only remember the players being out there.

But you can bet your arse if one team is out there for the national anthem and the other is not, then it's a bad look and it would be for Alabama or any other team too.

So make whatever excuses you want, but that's the bottom line and I'm done arguing with you about it.

Pure BS RTRnFlorida. The military has always served as a vehicle for people trying to do better for themselves. That doesn’t make their sacrifices any less patriotic or real. It takes a lot more than gung-ho Rambo and TopGun movies to sustain these volunteers as they complete their service. If you talk to real vets, I’m sure they would all say that covering their battle buddies is more important than some sophomoric ideas of patriotism from some scummy politicians

I feel the same way about players skipping the anthem, whether it's an LSU or Alabama player doing it.

Some of you seem to have different rules depending on what jersey they're wearing.

Sad.

You were fairly angry when you found out about it.

You said "frick them, I'm glad they lost" and also called them "pieces of shite."

I'm asking you why you don't hold the same sentiments towards all of the Alabama players who do the same exact thing.

All you can do is attempt to deflect and say it was a bad look. I would submit that anyone who sees it as "a bad look" is either ignorant or just outraged because it's LSU.

A non ignorant person understands that every school has teams that stay in the locker room during the anthem and LSU isn't doing anything new.

I don't blame you, you're pretty awful at justifying your double standards.

No, they hate stupid people.

Which means they would probably shell your house with artillery if they had your address.

ou’re in denial turd tiger. I support the military, and am also veteran. But the tough truth is the military members of 2001 after 911 or even before are not the same of today. They join for money mostly or to get their life back on track, and various other reasons. Not all of those reasons are bad, some are, but most do not join simply because they love America and are willing to give their life for a bullet like my compadres and I did in Iraq.

Nobody does it like you buddy. You are one of the last true Americans. All these other pussy volunteers don’t hold a candle to your service and dedication.
