And there is no end to people like that in the media. But Mulkey seeks so much attention for a person so sensitive to stupid criticism. Besides, she had a presser all to herself that made the writer of the article look as stupid as they sounded.

The article ended up being a pretty tame profile.

Yeah, it was. Either WaPo made some big revisions or the whole thing was a ploy to stir the pot to get a bunch clicks on a dying news media company. I’m leaning towards the latter.
I understand Mulkey’s anger, though.

I have always said Mulkey doesn’t help herself regarding the media. Even when she’s right, she just doesn’t present her case in a way that makes people like her. To be fair, Saban was like that for a long time.

But Coach Saban didn't care what you thought. And he didn't have pressers on the subject.

Dawn Staley is the woke media's dream. Kim Mulkey is the greatest threat to her success. Thus, the woke media hates Kim and her teams.

I just means in terms of how he could be combative with the media. Even when he was right, sometimes it just left a bad taste in your mouth. But 7 titles with 2 teams has a way of making that not so important.

Just hard to believe a player would stay at the school the entire time if what was stated in the report were true.

I don’t give a damn about her. But it’s pretty funny to see her all decked out like some new money red neck hillbilly. Real good look! Lol

People love to hate on winners when their team sucks. I’ve been to Georgia. No place with more rednecks than Georgia

He dished it out. I won't miss his many attempts to treat grown media like he was coaching them in his pressers. I'm actually getting a kick out of all the interviews coming from Coach DeBoer's coaching staff. Makes it sound like information overload.

But Coach Saban dished it out and he took it. He also taught his team how to tune stupid stuff out and give an answer without really saying anything. All the while keeping the main thing the main thing. Mulkey can't sell that to her team and she might regret that aspect of the example she's showing.

"Doesn't help herself"? Obviously you haven't caught any of her interviews, last year & this one. She has repeatedly said she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her, she does not follow social media, and, just yesterday "I am in the final 1/3 of my career &I just don't care about myself; I care about my kids". As for her dress, she's actually doing a huge favor for a friend who owns her own designer company, giving her free advertising. " My business has doubled since Kim started wearing my outfits". Off the court, she lives in sweats & T shirts.

Both the article and Mulkeys reaction were completely overblown.

By her reaction, I was expecting some information everyone didn't already know about her.

I wonder if there was something that couldn't be verified, so they ended up removing it from the article.

I wonder if there was something that couldn't be verified,

She knew this... Clearly the "journalist" had lied to former players and coaches about working "With" her on the article. They came back to her with what was being asked about... I would bet there was more.. and it was scrubbed when she went on offense. If this was the article the whole time, it took 2 years to write THAT?

The LA Times piece was even worse. Those idiots had to take there's down, scrub it and repost a pregame article AFTER the game was played. And then, pretend that no one read what was in it.

If they thought this one was going to roll over.. They thought wrong.

She wasn't asked about it, she brought it up on her own. It was her opening statement.
