I went back to the November game in Maui that we lost 71-67. Game was called REALLY tight. 51 total fouls and 78 free throws between the two teams.

Aidoo, Awaka and Estrella played a combined 33 minutes and were called for 13 fouls. Aidoo and Awaka both fouled out.

Zeigler was still less than 100%; so was Vescovi. Mashack was starting instead of Zeigler. ZZ was also just 2-11 shooting. Vols shot 33%, Purdue 35%.

Bottom line is this Vols team is a better team than they were then. I’m not sure Purdue has improved that much.

Vols gotta run, get ahead, speed up the tempo. Get purdue out of their 1/2 court sets.

Vols win if we shoot threes as good as we did against Creighton. We lose if we shoot outside poorly like we did against Texas though.

Purdue 's offense doesn't scare me as much as Creighton's did though just because Creighton scan score in bunches quickly when they get hot shooting threes and their best shooter had an insane accuracy ratio this year. I think we match up well with them pretty well. Should be a dog fight though.

Purdue may be the best three point shooting team in the nation on paper but they are due for an off game eventually. A good defense like purs can definitely throw their offensive timing and rythm off.
