“The first reason this decision is surprising is that Bear Alexander was one of the few really good defensive players for USC last season. Bear Alexander was there against Utah, playing his butt off and giving it his all, while other teammates struggled. Bear Alexander was not only good, but dependable. He fought very hard for this team. It’s the last player USC expected to leave the program”
