Big rubber match for the Ags and Dawgs. Ags are in a semi bad spot with a loss while the Dawgs would be riding high after back to back big series wins.

But the time the bball game ended and I took care of some stuff the game was already over. Looks like one offensive inning was all it took yesterday.

One thing I’ve noticed when the Ags offense goes quiet - a lot of hard hit balls at guys. I wish there was a “baseball savant” type site for college ball.

It has been a breath of fresh air for us State alums/fans after the last two years.
Our pitching has been light years better this year. Just throwing strikes and our defense has improved in turn. Hitting is always going to be a variable. But if you pitch well and play solid defense, you give yourself a chance every time out in baseball.
Lastly, State has seemingly found our comeback mojo again. It was starkly absent in 2022-23. But this years team has that mentality that they are never out of a game.

Now as for today, I have no idea what may happen but I know our guys will scrap and fight until the last out.

A&M is a good ball club so if we are able to claim a series win it would be awesome. Still it is only the second series of the season so a long way to go. Really no weak teams in the conference. Even the teams that may be struggling right now are good clubs.
