Honestly, with how good they looked in the conference opener, I'd say that, provided the ball bounces in their favor, they are championship contenders this year. I mean, I'd rather Mississippi State compared to the Tennessee Volun-tears.

Mississippi State should be excited for baseball this year. That lineup was popping the ball all over the place against last weekend. That being said, I would not be surprised if they finished middle of the pack in the SEC. This is a tough lead and every weekend is a battle.

Time will tell. So much of it these days is avoiding your pitching staff getting decimated by injuries. Just need to stay healthy and we’ll do well.

We will need our Ace back if we want to stay ranked.

It just shows you the volatility of a SEC schedule …one injury can derail everything…..one good weekend can pogo a shitty team into being a ranked team.

Hell, our first 8 games, we had 8 extra basehits total….honestly was having trouble getting the ball out of the infield.

If We get Dohm back to 100 and nail down a closer, State will be a post season club. Long way to go.

State looked good but LSU played like dog shite which was uncharacteristic. Hard to tell from that series what’s going to happen. I think LSU rebounds and takes 2/3 from the gators

You’re going to see Tennessee April 12-14 in Knoxville. I’m Sorry the Vols touched you where it hurts.

21 2-out hits isn’t sustainable over the long haul (in a 3 game series)

Worked for em against LSU
