Absolutely brutal draw for Auburn

As a fan of a team who manages to somehow always go up against that one buzzsaw or the white-hot Cinderella in the postseason, I can relate.

Auburn is no doubt a talented team, but it's hard to say if their SOS has really prepared them for a rock fight like this. As usual (lately), their guard play can be somewhat sus, which is the last thing you want going into the tournament.

But I do think Auburn matches up with UConn strangely well. Might be an interesting game if some things happen to go their way.

agreed.. very accurate assessment waspy

figured regardless of our bracket/seeding, if we played well enough, we were prolly gonna face UConn at some point.. might as well do it early lol/smh..

hopefully we start well & earn the chance to get in there and mix it up with'em.. no doubt they're a beast and we should learn a lot about where we are as a team/program by facing them.

They really do. It is uncanny. The Mo Williams team being rudely introduced to Antonio Gates is the one that immediately comes to mind, even more than last year.

On the flip side, y'all's 2004 team wiped out the Josh Childress Stanford team in the second round, which is one of the more surprising second round tournament games that I can ever remember.

UConn is one of very few teams who can both outathlete Auburn and outcoach Auburn, and I say this as someone who really likes Pearl (Louisville should seriously consider him, IMO) and thinks Auburn is really good.
