Yeah, not sure why a friend couldn't get him loaded in an Uber back to the hotel. But, this happens. Fearing the worst and the river got him but hopefully there is good news soon.

A genuine friend would've gone with him. He was in town for some sort of frat formal so maybe he was a rep and was alone. But if he was there with friends, at least one of them should've bitten the bullet and gone with him.

ETA: Saw where his friends reported him missing the next day. So again, someone should've gone. It's not their fault he's missing but always look out for your drunk friends - always.

all that area I'm sure is now developed into a "river walk" type area. Cobblestones and barriers, etc., safe for children within eye shot of their parents, etc., I don't think it's a question of the river so much.

10pm in that section still seems safe as can be, and there'd be people sitting around there holding hands eating ice cream. etc


ETA: yep, I'm wrong, not as developed as I thought it would be
