Kiffin was fired by Saban and according to Byrne wasn’t even considered to be an option. There’s not a single Bama insider, beat writer, or member of the AD - literally nobody with inside information, who ever suggested Kiffin would ever be an option. In fact, they pretty much unanimously agreed that he would never even be contacted about the job.
