Which is why the story is being ignored but point shaving would still be a thing even for teams like Vandy. Hell, especially for them because there's not going to be a ton of scrutiny on them.

As for who they approached.... well that might've just been a thing of opportunity. And him saying get your teammates to do x and you and they will get y.

Not saying any of it's true but it is possible.
