Runner has right to run pass first base. Like“sliding to bases on double play attempts” a fielder gets the ball then throws it, there's more layers of complexity. 2nd base fields a grounder then throws to first and the first baseman makes contact with the runner while trying to catch the errant throw. It’s obstruction and runner gets to first base.

There is only one thing Aggies and Longhorn fans can agree on and it’s that nothing good comes out of Lubbock. I will never forget Tech fans printing out shirts saying “Vick em” with a logo of Michael Vick hanging Reveille back in 2007. Fuk those assholes. A&M and Tech had a nasty rivalry in the 2000s
