Took the headline straight off the article. I don’t know who Greg is other than a Big 12 guy. He’s using his platform to keep pushing his agenda.

More people from other fan bases live in Nashville than Vandy fans and it’s not close. The SEC doesn’t lose Nashville if Vandy leaves
Places is littered with TN, AL, OM, AR, LSU, UGA, Kentucky, and Auburn fans

They are probably kicking out Mizzou or Vandy as a warning for everyone to get their numbers up in the Big 3 sports. Like a game of survivor.

I bet they’re the same sources as Russia Russia Russia.

It's doing that right now. It's turned into pro football

I’m pretty certain this is why you hear that A&M is looking at other options. The burnt orange overlords and Snakey are making their cuts and we have no place in their vision in order to better position Texas in the heirarchy. There will be additional cuts as well.

They bought a good product and then they proceed to find ways to change it. Then they'll be shocked when the numbers go down and then they'll liquidate.
Corporate money changers know about as much about sports as the other industries they've run down into the gutter. The results will be the same.

I doubt it’s actually a thing that will happen.

This is the second thread on this subject.
I really don't think they are talking about conferences dropping schools but rather the SEC and B1G not wanting to include the G5 teams in the new world. They don't want to share the TV pot with teams like Arkansas State & Texas State.
If you are reading between the lines, this is the part where they are exploring leaving the NCAA.

LOL if you think Vandy gives the SEC a Nashville market.
They'll have 1,000 fans at a basketball game at Bridgestone max and it's 2 miles from their campus.

Oh wow, Greg Swain pushing A&M to the Big 10 conference is at it again. Look at this take:

SEC is only a name now. It's the ESPN conference. And B1G is the FOX conference.
Charter member status does not mean anything. Slive opened pandora's box and Sankey sold your conference's soul and autonomy to ESPN.

If you're looking to kick out Vanderbilt as a founding member, just know that eventually it could be you.
After Vanderbilt, why would the SEC keep Mississippi State?
Same for the Big Ten. Once Northwestern is gone, why wouldn't Purdue be next?
I think it's a very slippery slope and, honestly, it shouldn't be entirely about revenue. There has to be some consideration for "tradition" and what got college football to be such a big deal in America.
You start kicking schools out, especially long-time members, and that's when I probably completely lose interest. That's now what college football is about.

Yep, and there would be a strong possibility that one, if not both, of the Mississippi schools would be on the outside looking in.
