This is a really stupid viewpoint. I'm not sure why you're hammering it.
I've needed a prescription for insulin since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 10.
Your viewpoint is that I've been an illegal drug user since then.
My viewpoint is that I'm taking a legal medicine with a prescription.
I frankly think your viewpoint is idiotic. Prescription drugs aren't illegal drugs. That's just dumb.

Because when people say a drug is "illegal" there are almost always exemptions. We know that an "illegal" drug is one that is federally scheduled
If your argument is that no drug is illegal that would at least be a consistent point, but it seems you weren't aware a lot of drugs you consider to be "legal" are also available via prescription and most people would call them "illegal drugs"
If someone says cocaine is an illegal drug you wouldn't bat an eye, but it's also available via prescription. In other words, you know exactly what is meant by "illegal drug"
