He and my dad are the same age and look a lot alike. Happy birthday, coach.

Coach Stallings is a good man.

I saw him win a national championship in the Louisiana Superdome in 1992. Fun night.

The man who single handedly took down "The U" dynasty. Indeed the last of the "southern gentlemen" Coaches. Shug, Dooley, Darrell Royal, Frank Broyles, John Majors, Bear, Danny Ford, Charley Pell, all fit the bill. That night of Jan 1, 1993 will always be one of the most special games.

No Bama fan that was around will ever forget that night. I rank Bama's best all time wins as the following
1. 1978 Penn St national championship game
2. 1992 Miami national championship game
3. 2012 Notre Dame National championship game
4. 2009 Texas national Championship game
5. 1971 win vs USC in Los Angeles.

Any list of greatest Bama wins without Tua to Smitty for the walk-off natty isn't accurate.
