Expansion is a matter of when not if. Big 10 and SEC are eventually going to 24 a piece and leave the NCAA because money trumps tradition or culture.

Now for the schools FSU and Clemson are obvious because they bring money and we don’t want them in the Big 10.

For other ACC schools that would bring money I see see UNC, Duke, and I guess a combination of UVA,VT, Miami, or Louisville. ACC schools don’t bring a lot of value.

What's magical about 24? Nothing. I can tell you why 16 is significant: because, with a 9 game schedule, we can still play everyone with enough frequency to have something that can be called a conference.

At 24, we're just a confederation, and likely to be split geographically. If we take 8 more teams from the ACC, then you'll probably end up with something like 8 team pods. I'm sure that LSU and the Mississippi schools would love being split off from the other charter SEC members to be lumped in a pod with Arkansas, OU, A&M and Texas. Or, maybe instead of 8 ACC schools, we take 4 from the ACC, and then UH, Baylor, Tech, and TCU from the Big XII. Put those four with A&M, Texas, OU, and Arkansas, and we've just about got the SWC back together.

There really is no reason for the SEC and Big Ten to leave the NCAA. It's not like the NCAA is blocking these schools from doing anything.

“ Miami, or Louisville.”

NO NO NO and NO to the two above outlaw schools.

We don’t need to expand but if it happened, then I am good with NC, NCState, Duke, Va, Va. Tech, FSU, Clemson, Tulane (yep that is only former team I would like to see back in the SEC).

But if we are eventually going to get to 24, then above teams make the most sen$e and keeps us with a good geographical profile.

No And Never to Miami and Louieville.

You've got ND (which B1G wants most of all). Should that happen, can the SEC counter to remain the TOP CONFERENCE?
